A phone for the deaf? That’s a phone that every deaf people is waiting for. Providing a rich communication experience for everyone is a luxury that technology allows us. Design student Suhyun Kim wants to ensure that deaf people are able to have phone conversations with friends and family without relying on relay services, and her “Visual Sound” phone concept relies on technology that is already available and in use. Simply put, the phone would convert the deaf user’s typed words into spoken words on the other end. Atom powered phone, a new engineering marvel rocks the world of mobile computing as LG introduces their latest model the GW990 at the CES. The atom powered phone LG GW990 is a full touch enabled device with a huge 4.8″ display with a resolution of 1020 x 480 and packs an 45nm Atom-core Pineview CPU of unknown clock speed. Xperia X10 is the hottest upcoming model from Sony Ericsson with the release date is said to be on the first quarter of 2010. Too bad Xperia X10 geeks won’t be able to buy one as gifts for themselves this Christmas. They’ll just have to wait until the release date comes. Acer paves their way to the mobilephone arena with the way of the dragon, not in Bruce Lee’s kung-fu kinda way, but the company introduces their latest mobilephone flagship the neoTouch. In this review we’ll go down deep into the belly of the beast. The Acer neoTouch is packed with a speedy Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz processor, 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM (300MB user available). Come to think of it, that was my desktop’s specs 5 years ago. That old PC was a a good one. We had good times together (sniff). Enough with the reminiscing let’s go on with the review.
